Disappearing magazines

I love the magazine and was excited to find that I could subscribe on my new iPhone. I can always find the first volume that my subscription gave me on my "bookshelf" but I also bought a back issue and it doesnt show on my bookshelf. It is a pain to have to go hunting through apps to find it. Is there a way to make this more user friendly?
