They make you think you are getting a free magazine when in actuality you are downloading an advertisement. I cant believe the prices on these magazines. Do not download!

Obviously my definition of "free" differs from iTunes. Why would you advertise this as a Free issue when its clearly not? And I 100% agree with the other reviewers that their subscription prices are laughable. Wonder how many other "free" offers work like this...

I expected a trial issue. Instead I got absolutely nothing. Theres not even one page of magazine you can read with this scam.

You have to pay to read.. The only thing thats free is the icon in the newsstand app.

If you are an Anglophile you will love GOod Housekeeping UK. If you thought you were getting a magazine free, sorry but that is unlikely in any magazine app. The recipes are good and I love the ads, too with so many gift ideas!

This magazine is not worth buying, it crashes every time I try to view the free issue.

All the reviews for basically all of the newsstand apps are one star, this is horrible for people who are actually looking for a review of the app. Look, do you have to buy a magazine at a grocery store? Yes. So why would you expect to get them for free? Because you all are ignorant and speak before you think. These are apps to manage your issues of your magazines, much like the Marvel Comics app. The app is free, but you have to pay for the issues. So just because you were able to afford an iPhone with the lowest data plan, no texts and the lowest minuets, doesnt mean you get everything else for free. People still need to make theyre money. So please review if you have the app and want to share your wisdom, dont just complain because you think Apple is trying to "scam" you.

Yall just cant deal with the fact you have to come out of your pocket for a year subscription. Get over yourself and pay for the info. Folks ALWAYS want something FREE. Will u go into a store.... Grab a magazine off the rack then walk out NO. If you do then SOMEBODY going to JAIL! LMBO!

I feel like if I was able to possibly look at a page or two of the magazine and see what its like on the iPhone, then I might be more inclined to purchase it. But given the fact that I cant even look at anything in any of the magazines and the prices are extremely ridiculous, I definitely will not be paying for it. Sorry but $5 is too much for an app, let alone a monthly magazine, and $55 for a year? HA come on now its like $20 in print..

Wish they have a free issue that comes with app installation so at least I know what I would be getting before buying a $$ monthly subscription. Same as buying in the grocery store. You can browse for free and decide if you wanna buy and take it home.

Its not free....you have to pay for each issue...you get nothing by dling this app
